This iconic Buddhist monastery, perched 900 meters above the valley floor, is one of Bhutan’s most sacred and awe-inspiring landmarks. After an early breakfast, drive to Ramthangka, the base of the Taktsang hike. Begin your challenging yet rewarding trek, following an ancient path lined with prayer wheels, fluttering prayer flags, and small chortens. The ascent takes about 2-3 hours, with plenty of opportunities to pause and take in the breathtaking views of Paro Valley below.
