Bid farewell to Thimphu as you journey to Punakha, the ancient winter capital of Bhutan. Today, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Paro to the remote and untouched Haa Valley. Along the way, pass through Chele La Pass (3,988m), Bhutan’s highest motorable road, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan range and Mt. Jomolhari (7,314m). In Haa Valley, explore its ancient temples, including the sacred Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple) and Dongtse Lhakhang, each steeped in fascinating history. Wander through the valley’s picturesque landscapes, where traditional Bhutanese homes dot the rolling hills. In the late afternoon, return to Paro for a relaxing evening.

Today is the highlight of your Bhutan journey, a trek to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)! This sacred temple, perched dramatically 900 meters above the valley floor, is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. The hike takes approximately 5 hours round trip, leading you through misty pine forests, fluttering prayer flags, and stunning viewpoints that make every step worthwhile.
