    Welcome to Bhutan! Paro – Thimphu

    Touch down at Paro International Airport, where your Bhutanese adventure begins! Your friendly guide will greet you with a warm smile before whisking you away to Thimphu, Bhutan’s lively capital. Along the way, take in the fresh mountain air and stunning landscapes that set the tone for the journey ahead. Dive into Bhutan’s rich artisanal traditions with visits to Nado Poizokhang Incense Factory, where the air is filled with the soothing aroma of traditional incense, and Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Centre, where intricate handwoven textiles come to life.     Discover the Magic of Thimphu

    Start the day with an invigorating hike to Cheri Dorji Dhen Monastery, a peaceful retreat nestled in the mountains, offering breathtaking views and a glimpse into monastic life. Continue your journey with a visit to Buddha Dordenma, a towering golden statue overlooking the valley, radiating peace and serenity.     Into the Heart of Punakha

    Bid farewell to Thimphu as you journey to Punakha, the ancient winter capital of Bhutan. Along the way, make a scenic stop at Dochula Pass (3,100m), where 108 stupas stand against the backdrop of snow-capped Himalayan peaks, a picture-perfect moment! Arriving in Punakha Valley, visit the legendary Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the Temple of Fertility, where you’ll hear fascinating tales of the Divine Madman and his unorthodox teachings. Spend the night in Punakha, surrounded by the serene beauty of the valley.

    Punakha’s Beauty & Return to Paro

    Start your day with an awe-inspiring hike to Khamsum Yulley Monastery, a hidden gem perched on a hilltop, offering stunning panoramic views of Punakha Dzong and the Pho Chu & Mo Chu Rivers below. Afterward, visit the Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Nunnery, a peaceful retreat for Buddhist nuns, where you’ll witness their meditative lifestyle and admire intricate Bhutanese architecture. In the afternoon, begin your journey back to Paro via Dochula Pass, enjoying the scenic drive through Bhutan’s mesmerizing landscapes.     A Day in the Hidden Valley of Haa

    Today, embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive from Paro to the remote and untouched Haa Valley. Along the way, pass through Chele La Pass (3,988m), Bhutan’s highest motorable road, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan range and Mt. Jomolhari (7,314m). In Haa Valley, explore its ancient temples, including the sacred Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple) and Dongtse Lhakhang, each steeped in fascinating history.     Conquering the Legendary Tiger’s Nest

    Today is the highlight of your Bhutan journey, a trek to the legendary Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest)! This sacred temple, perched dramatically 900 meters above the valley floor, is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark. The hike takes approximately 5 hours round trip, leading you through misty pine forests, fluttering prayer flags, and stunning viewpoints that make every step worthwhile.
